Sleepless in Seattle….er, Omaha

Mom is still doing well, but STILL unable to sleep.
The back of her head is sore to the touch from lying on it non-stop, for 4 weeks.
Because of this, she can’t lie her head back in the recliner to sleep.
She positions a rolled up towel behind her neck to avoid any pressure, and each time she starts to dose off, her head drops, startles her, and she wakes up.
She’s unable to sleep in her bed, cuz she can’t breathe unless she’s in an upright position.

I’ve never seen anyone so deprived of sleep before. I wish I could just sing some lullabies, and rock her to sleep….

P.S. Today is Mom & Dad’s 24th anniversary!!

Karen, you are having a difficult time sleeping. Try listening to my preaching. That should help!

    Congratulations on your anniversary!!! =)

For the sleeping…anyone have a travel pillow or a boppy like thing? That way her head would stay in one position but you could keep the back of it off the chair. Picture the boppy NOT around her neck, but her head in the “donut hole” part of the boppy…anyone?

Ok, for my first time at the computer in a while, as I mentioned, I am TOTALLY overwhelmed! I will just make this a general group msg. & say THANK YOU, THANK YOU to ALL the MANY thots/prayers/visits/cards/gifts, etc. during my illness. I FEEL the hand of the Lord in my healing & know w/out Him, none of this could happen.

Karen, this is A.J. from dance a few years ago. I just heard from Vicki about your illness. I am so sorry that you went through so much pain. But you are such a fabulous, strong woman, and I am sure you will overcome this challenge too! Hang in there! You are great! – Ece

Karen, miss seeing you and your smile at the office. Keeping you in our prayers and thoughts. Here is a saying from (Emily Matthews)
Although each day brings challenges and things that are unkown, You needn’t face them by yourself or deal with them alone, for others care about you and will keep you close in prayer and, above all, God will guide you-
for His love is always there.
